The Viticulture Commission of the Vinho Verde Region (CVRVV) is a regional interprofessional association, a private legal entity, with the following objectives:
(i) Ensuring the strategic management and legal protection of the Designation of Origin (DO) “Vinho Verde” and the Geographical Indication (GI) “Minho”, representing the professional interests of both producers and traders;
(ii) Guaranteeing official control related to the certification of the aforementioned DO and GI.
Additionally, the CVRVV aims to support the economic activities of its members in technical, promotional, and training domains.
The CVRVV is accredited by the Portuguese Accreditation Institute (IPAC) as a Product Certification Body for DO “Vinho Verde” or GI “Minho” in accordance with NP EN ISO/IEC 17065. Furthermore, its Testing Laboratory is also accredited under the NP EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, as detailed in the respective Technical Accreditation Annexes C0010 and L0226-1, along with the corresponding Lists of Certifications or Tests under Flexible Accreditation.
