Science & Wine is a science communication project aimed at promoting the Mediterranean diet with a special focus on wine.
The Science & Wine webpage was launched on the 22 of January 2018 and publishes, each Sunday, one post about wine or Mediterranean Diet. Each post reiterates the scientific nature of the findings, and discussions are evidence-based. This webpage is the best platform to reach those already interested in this specific topic. The blog boosts the organization of Science & Wine World Congresses, Conferences, and Scientific Cafés. The Science & Wine project is new in Portugal and aims to be interactive, informative, didactic, cultural, and scientific. As a result of the work developed in this area, the author (Paula Silva) is the University of Porto representative on the UNESCO Chair “Culture et Traditions du Vin” of which she is a member.
