Ruth Pereira Scientific Coordinator of GreenUPorto Research Center of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, and of the Research Line on Environmental Quality and Risk Assessment; Member of the Board of Directors of INOV4Agro Associate Laboratory; Coordinator of the MSc course in the Evaluation and Remediation of Soils. She has a MSc in Ecology and PhD and Habilitation in Biology. RP main research topics are in soil ecology and ecotoxicology, as well as in the risk assessment of contaminated sites as well as of new substances. Ruth Pereira has published about 163 ISI-WOS papers on these topics with an Hindex of 35. RP has coordinated 4/7 international/national funded projects, and she has been involved as researcher in ca. 12 intern./24 nation. funded projects. Presently she is the Scientific coordinator of the ERASMUS+ project TERRATECH aimed in developing a MSc course in Agriculture 4.0. She supervised 8 Pos-docs researchers, 22 PhD students (6 ongoing) and ca 60 MCs students. Presently, RP is member of the technical Committee ISO/TC190 on Soil Quality of the International Standardization Organization (sub-commissions SC4 for Biological Characterization (WG2, 3, 4 and 5) and SC7 for Impact Assessment (WG10). RP is collaborating with FAO-UN in the development of guidelines for measuring, mapping, monitoring, and reporting on soil pollution. She coordinates the LABRISK laboratory at FCUP which is integrated in the Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN). She has been member of national and European panels for the evaluation of PhD grants applications and of projects. RP is associate editor of the Elsevier Journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety.
